EC Declaration of Conformity

We, Veracity UK Ltd. of 6 Barns Street, Ayr, KA7 1XA
declare that the equipment “OUTREACH” Ethernet repeaters
model number VOR-ORM / VOR-ORL
conform to the essential protection requirements of the EMC Directive 89/336/EEC as amended.
The following EMC standards have been applied:
BS EN 55022:1998 Emissions (Class B Radiated)
BS EN 55024:1998 Immunity (BS EN 61000-4-2:1995 Immunity to ESD,
BS EN 61000-4-3:2000 Immunity to Radiated RF Fields (3V/m))
I hereby declare that the equipment named above has been been found to comply with the relevant sections
of the above referenced specifications. The unit complies with all essential requirements of the EMC Directive.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device
must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired
operation.

pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against
harmful interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance
with the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this
equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be
required to correct the interference at his own expense.
Example OUTREACH MAX / OUTREACH LITE applications
1. Delivering 20 watts to a PoE Plus device over 300 metres (984 feet)

Veracity's OUTSOURCE PLUS i njector is us ed to a dd enhanced PoE Plus ca pa bi l i ty to a regul a r unpowered network port.
Two OUTREACH MAX units are l oca ted 100 metres a nd 200 metres from the s wi tch, a l l owi ng a PoE Plus wirel ess access poi nt to be i ns ta l l ed
up to 300 metres from the power s ource.
2. Extending an unpowered network connection to 200 metres (656 feet)
The combi na ti on of Veracity's OUTSOURCE enhanced PoE i njector and OUTREACH LITE Ethernet range extender delivers a s i mple a nd rel i a bl e
means to extend LAN ca bling be yond its 100 metre l i mi t.
By conne cting a s i ngl e OUTREACH LITE a fter 100 metres of cabl i ng, the connection from network s wi tch port to wa l l outl et may extend up to
200 metres . OUTSOURCE de l i vers power to the OUTREACH LITE, a nd ma y be conveni entl y l oca ted near the network s wi tch.
3. Combining OUTREACH LITE and OUTREACH MAX to deliver an unrestricted network connection beyond 200 metres
For extendi ng da ta -onl y connections , where no PoE i s requi red for the end device, a combi na ti on of OUTREACH MAX a nd OUTREACH LITE may
be us ed to i ncreas e range beyond 200 metres . The OUTREACH MAXes forwa rd both da ta and PoE from the PoE s witch to the powered device,
whi ch i n thi s case is the OUTREACH LITE. The tota l di s ta nce from s wi tch to outl et i n the e xample is up to 400 metres (1316 feet).
Unrestricted 100Ba s e-T full-dupl ex (total bandwi dth 200Mbit/s ) connections of up to 2200 metres (7218 feet) between powe r s ources a re
possibl e using thi s method.
4. Versatile network expansion with distributed PoE using OUTREACH QUAD
In thi s example an OUTREACH MAX i s us ed to forwa rd enha nced PoE Plus power to an OUTREACH QUAD PoE-forwa rdi ng swi tch, l ocated up to
200 metres from the network s witch a nd OUTSOURCE PLUS i njector.
The OUTREACH QUAD extends the PoE a nd network connection a further 200 metres to a n IP came ra us i ng OUTREACH MAX, a nd provides a
PoE network port for a VoIP phone, pl us a n a ddi ti ona l two network connections for other devices or for connection to a loca l ne twork.
