Device Overview

This chapter provides a brief description of the e280 device.

The e280 is a secure wireless handheld mobile payment device that allows

merchants to process credit ca

rd transactions anywhere. The e280 supports a

variety of use cases and integrates with Verifone’s estate management solution

enabling clients to remotely monitor, manage, and update their device. The e280

also supports Bluetooth BLE and WiFi, and meets PCI 5.X SRED requirements for

maximum security.

The e280’s small, sleek, design makes it easily pocketable while su

pporting all

payment methods - Magnetic stripe, EMV, and NFC/CTLS, including Apple Pay,

Google Pay, and Samsung Pay mobile wallets. The easy to read color touch

screen supports all payment related user interactions, including barcode scanner

and secure PIN entry.
