Installing Paper in
the Tray
Before you can process transactions that require a receipt or record, you must
install paper in the printer tray.
The VX 520 Sprocket uses a stack of double-ply carbonized paper.
To install a paper
stack
1 Remove any partial stack of paper in the printer tray.
2 Place the new stack of paper into the tray
3 Feed the first sheet of paper into the sprocket printer.
4 Slowly turn the sprocket paper loader downwards until the leading edge of
the paper or the perforation edge of the paper aligns with the tear bar.

Installing/Replacing
MSAM Cards
When you first receive your VX 520 Sprocket terminal, you may need to install one
or more MSAM cards or you may need to replace old cards.
To install or replace
MSAMs
1 Remove the power cord from the power outlet.
2 Place the terminal upside down on a soft, clean surface to protect the display
from scratches.
CAUTION
Observe standard precautions when handling electrostatically sensitive devices.
Electrostatic discharges can damage this equipment. VeriFone recommends
using a grounded anti-static wrist strap.
