Check the Telephone Line
• Disconnect the telephone line from the V
x
680 terminal and connect it to a
working telephone to check for a dial tone. If there is no dial tone, replace the
telephone cable.
• If the problem appears to be with the telephone line, check with the party you
are trying to call to see if their system is operational. If they are not
experiencing difficulties with their line, contact the telephone company and
have your line checked.
• If the telephone line works, contact your local VeriFone representative for
assistance.
Check Pairing with Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station (for terminal with
Bluetooth support
®
)
• Check that the terminal is paired with a Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station.
• Check that the Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station to which the terminal is paired
is powered ON. The blue LED is lit when the Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station
is powered ON.
• If the Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station cannot be powered on, pair the terminal
with another available Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station.
• When making a transaction, check that the amber LED on the Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station is lit. This means that the Bluetooth
®
Comm Base Station
is online and, thus, can process transactions.
