Using the
Magnetic Card
Reader
The VX 680 terminal supports credit/debit card transactions.
To Conduct a Credit
or Debit Card
Transaction
1 Position a magnetic card with the stripe in the card reader and facing inward,
toward the keypad.
2 To ensure a proper read of the magnetic swipe card, the user should insert the
magnetic card from the top of the unit, as shown in Figure 36.
3 Swipe the card through the magnetic card reader.

Using the Stylus
The VX 680 terminal has a touchscreen capability which allows the use of a stylus
on a transaction.
To Use the Stylus
1 Remove the stylus from the top portion of the terminal, as shown in Figure 37.
