Getting Started — continued Please read these instructions carefully before using the EasyFlex®. 1. Unpack lamp carefully, removing all packaging material, and confirm you have all parts shown in the diagram. For your convenience, the bulb is already inserted in the socket. 2. Remove all pieces from box being careful with the wiring that runs through the base and shafts. 3. Locate the two screws and tightening tool in the plastic bag and set aside. Assembly Instructions 1. Attach the lamp head/gooseneck to the shaft until the screw holes line up as shown in Fig. 1. Use care when tucking the wire into the shaft. Insert the screw using the tightening tool. Turn clockwise to tighten. Close-up of screw hole in the lamp head Fig. 1 2. Hold the upper shaft with one hand and release the ergonomic height adjustment lever by gently pulling it upward as shown in Fig. 2. Extend the upper shaft approximately 30cm/12”.
Assembly Instructions — continued 3. Set the lamp base on the floor and insert the lamp shaft over the base support unit until the screw holes line up as shown in Fig. 3. Insert the screw using the tightening tool. Turn clockwise to tighten. Close-up of screw hole in the lamp base Fig. 3 4. Remove the light diffuser from the protective plastic bag. Insert the plastic pegs at the bottom of the light diffuser into the openings near the bulb socket. Snap the tab into place as shown in Fig. 4.
Bulb Replacement Removal 1. Unplug the lamp from the power source. 2. To access the bulb, remove the grid diffuser by depressing the tab and lifting it out. (See Fig. 5.) 3. Firmly hold the bulb base (A) and pull the bulb (B) from the socket (C) in an upward and outward motion. Fig. 5 A Installation 1. Unplug the lamp from power source. D 2. Firmly hold the lamp head. Carefully insert the bulb into the metal clips (D) at the top of the head. Push the bulb (B) downward into the socket (C). (See Fig. 6.
Ballast Replacement Instructions WARNING: To prevent risk of fire, use only Verilux replacement parts when replacing the ballast in this lamp. Unplug the lamp! 1 ! Seat the replacement ballast in its nest in the base. Lower lamp onto its side to access lamp base. 5 ! Remove the four screws on the ballast cover on the underside of the lamp base. Remove cover and set aside with the four screws.

Troubleshooting Before requesting service on your Verilux lamp, please: • Make sure all power connectors, cords and plugs are inserted fully and securely. • Be sure the bulb is securely seated into the socket. Care and Cleaning Your lamp is made from high-quality materials that will last for many years with minimum care. You may want to periodically clean the lamp, using a mild non-abrasive cleaner and soft cloth. When cleaning, make sure you have turned off and unplugged the unit and allowed sufficient time for it to cool. Properly wipe away all moisture before restoring power. CAUTION: DO NOT USE SOLVENTS OR CLEANERS CONTAINING ABRASIVES, OR AMMONIA-BASED CLEANERS ON THIS PRODUCT.

Déballez soigneusement la lampe, retirez tous les matériaux d’emballage et assurez-vous que vous avez toutes les pièces illustrées au schéma. Pour plus de commodité, l’ampoule est déjà insérée dans la douille. 2. Retirez toutes les pièces de la boîte en manipulant soigneusement le câblage parcourant la base et les tiges. 3.
Instructions d’assemblage 1. Fixez la tête de la lampe et le col de cygne à la tige jusqu’à ce que les trous de vis s’alignent, comme illustré à la Fig. 1. Insérez soigneusement le câble dans la tige. Insérez la vis et serrez-la en utilisant l’outil de serrage. Tournez vers la droite pour serrer. Instructions d’assemblage — suite 3. Déposez la lampe sur le plancher et insérez la tige de la lampe sur le support de base jusqu’à ce que les trous de vis s’alignent, comme illustré à la Fig. 3. Retirez le sac de plastique protecteur du diffuseur.
Remplacement de l’ampoule Retrait 1. Débranchez la lampe de la source d’alimentation. 2. Pour acceder l’ampoule, détachez le diffuseur parabolique en appuyant sur la languette. Rétirez le diffuseur. (Voir Figure 5.) 3. Tenez fermement la tête de la lampe (A) et retirez l’ampoule (B) de la douille (C) d’un mouvement vers le haut et vers l’extérieur, d’une façon qui libère l’ampoule de la pince métallique (D). Instructions pour le remplacement du ballast AVERTISSEMENT : Afin de prévenir les incendies, utiliser seulement des pièces Verilux pour le remplacement du ballast de cette lampe. Débrancher la lampe! ! Placer le ballast de remplacement dans son socle, dans la base de la lampe. Coucher la lampe sur le côté pour accéder à la base. 1 5 ! Retirer les quatre vis du couvercle du ballast sous la base de la lampe. Retirer le couvercle et le mettre de côté avec les quatre vis.

Dépannage Avant de faire une demande de réparation de votre lampe Verilux, veuillez : • Vous assurer que toutes les fiches, prises et tous les cordons cordons sont tous branchés correctement et fermement. • Assurez-vous que l’ampoule est bien installée dans la douille. (Voir page 25.) • Assurez-vous que la prise de courant est sous tension ou essayez avec une autre prise de courant. ATTENTION : Débrancher la lampe avant d’effectuer son alignement.
Entretien et nettoyage Votre lampe est fabriquée avec des matériaux de grande qualité qui dureront pendant plusieurs années avec un entretien minimal. Il serait préférable de nettoyer régulièrement la lampe en utilisant un nettoyant doux sans abrasif et un linge doux. Pendant le nettoyage, s’assurer que la lampe est éteinte et débranchée et permettre un délai suffisant pour le refroidissement de l’appareil.
