2. On the left hand side of the tray there is a toothed drive section (see image above). If this drive

section is dirty, it may effect the tray action. This can cause print quality issues and distorted

images.

The toothed section is very easy to clean. Simply brush it gently with a soft damp (not wet)

toothbrush or similar, and wipe away any excess with a soft cloth.

3. With the printer lid open, you will see the brass cog/wheel (see picture below) that drives the

printer tray. Clean this in the same way as the toothed section using a soft damp toothbrush.

Again remove any excess with a soft cloth.

4. The print carriage moves left to right on a metal slide bar (see picture above). Over time, this

can become contaminated with ink/dirt. To clean, simply dampen a lint-free cloth with some

light machine (or 3-in-1) oil, and wipe along the slide bar. This will clean and lubricate the bar

at the same time.
