DOWNLOADED or RECORDED SOUND:
Send: To send a sound.
To Online Album: To upload selected sound to picture server.
Rename: To edit the sound’s title.
Move: To move the selected sound to the other save location.
This option only appears if a memory card is inserted.
Lock/Unlock: Lock or unlock the selected sound in your phone.
Erase All: To erase all the sounds in your phone.
File Info: Displays information on the selected sound.
PRELOADED SOUND:
Send: To send a sound.

RECORDING NEW SOUNDS
To record a new sound:
1. From standby mode, press the OK Key [OK] to unlock the
keypad, then press the OK Key [MENU], the Directional Key
left twice for MEDIA CENTER, then slide out the QWERTY
keyboard and press 1. Music & Tones, 4. My Sounds.
2. Press 1. Record New”.
3. Press the OK Key
[OK] to begin recording. When done, press
the OK Key [STOP] to finish recording. The recording is
automatically saved to your My Sounds list.
4. Your recording is saved with a number. To rename your recording,
scroll to it with the Directional Key
in the My Sounds menu,
then press the Right Soft Key
[Options].
5. Press 3. Rename”.
6. Press and hold the Clear Key
to erase the number.
7. Enter the new name for your recording, then press the OK Key
[OK].
TO ERASE A SOUND:
1. From standby mode, press the OK Key [OK] to unlock the
keypad, then press the OK Key [MENU], the Directional Key
left twice for MEDIA CENTER, then slide out the QWERTY
keyboard and press 1. Music & Tones, 4. My Sounds.
2. Press the Directional Key
up or down to select the sound you
want to erase, and then press the Left Soft Key [Erase].
ERASE SOUND FROM MY SOUNDS AND SETTINGS? will appear
on your display.

3. Press the OK Key [OK] to select “Yes. A confirmation message
appears.
Your phone comes with 5 preloaded sounds: Clapping, Crowd roar, Happy Birthday,
Rainforest, and Train. These cannot be erased.
SYNC MUSIC
SYNC YOUR MUSIC FROM YOUR PC TO YOUR V CAST MUSIC WITH
RHAPSODY
®
CAPABLE PHONE
This option allows you to transfer music files from your PC. In order to use this
option, you must install V CAST Music with Rhapsody on your PC.
1. Open V CAST Music with Rhapsody software. Don’t have V CAST
MUSIC with Rhapsody software? Download it for free at
ww w.verizonwireless.com/music.
2. Plug in the USB cable (purchased separately) to your phone and
connect it to a USB port on your PC.
3. From the main screen on your phone, the SYNC MUSIC V CAST
MOBILE PHONE display appears. Your phone should display the
message: Connected.
4. Drag and drop the song(s) you want to sync from My Library, to
your V CAST Music with Rhapsody mobile phone, listed under the
Sources tab. Once synchronization is complete, press the END/
Power key (“Picture”) and disconnect the USB cable (purchased
separately).
5. Under the “Music & Tones menu, open My Music to view and
play your music.
A compatible USB cable (included in-box) is required for syncing.
V CAST Over The Air Music dowloads are not available. Music can be purchased and
downloaded via V CAST Music with Rhapsody through your PC. V CAST Music with
Rhapsody will work with Windows Vista, XP, or 2000 (Only 32-bit versions of Windows
are supported.) Not available for Mac or Linux.
