Messaging
Three apps are preloaded on your phone that allow you to send messages.
The
Messaging app , the Verizon messages app , and the Hangouts
app
. You can set any of these as your default messaging app.
To open the Messaging app

From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon (in the QuickTap Bar) >
the
Apps tab (if necessary) > the Tools folder > Messages .
Using the Messaging app
To use the Messaging features, open the Messaging app, tap the
information box (at the top of the screen) to set it as your default
messaging app, then Tap
OK .

Tap the
New message icon (in the upper-right corner of the screen) to
start a new text or multimedia message.
Tap here to create a new message.

Tap an existing message thread to open it.
NOTE Pinch in (or spread apart) on your list of messages to resize it for easier viewing or
navigation.
To delete a message thread from the Messaging window
1. Touch and hold the message thread.
2. Tap
Delete in the Context menu that opens.
3. Tap
Yes to confirm you want to delete the message thread.
To send a text message
1. Open the Messaging app (set it as your default messaging app, if
necessary), then tap the New message icon (in the upper-right corner
of the screen).
2. Enter the recipient(s) in your Contacts) in the
To field.
