5. Configure the settings described in the following table.
Settings Description
Service Name A descriptive service name.
Service User Select Any to al
low any computer on the Internet to
use this service.
Select Sin
gle address and enter the IP address of
one computer to only allow a trusted computer.
Service Type Select TCP/UDP.
Triggering Port Enter the outbound traffic port’s number that opens
the inb
ound ports.
Connection Type Select:
•TCP
• UDP,
• TC
P/UDP (both)
If you are not sure, select TCP/UDP.
Starting Port The incoming starting port
number of the range of
ports that are opened when triggered.
Ending Port The incoming ending port number of the range of ports
that are opened when triggered.
6. Click Apply.
The added service appears in the list.
Miscellaneous WAN Settings
The Miscellaneous screen lets you:
• Con
figure a DMZ (demilitarized zone) server.
• Cha
nge the maximum transmit unit (MTU) size.
• Ena
ble the router to respond to a pink on the Wide Area Network (WAN) Internet port.
To change broadband Internet connection settings, use the Broadban
d Settings screen, as
described in Configure Your Internet Settings on page 15.
