WiFi
The WiFi screen is the screen you use to customize the WiFi proles.
The WiFi screen has the following options.
Current ProfileThe wireless (802.11) prole currently in use.
Selected ProfileThe prole settings shown on the page. [See Changing to a Dierent
Prole
(page 39).]
Network Name (SSID)The name of MiFi2200’s wireless network.
802.11 ModeThe wireless network technology used. 802.11g + 802.11b is most compatible,
allowing both 802.11b devices and 802.11g devices to connect to the wireless network.
Channel — If available, select Auto. With this setting, MiFi2200 selects the best available
channel. If the Auto setting is not available, you can experiment to see which channel
provides the best results, or use the default setting.
SecurityThe security type used to encrypt the wireless network.
WEP 64-bit (least secure, more compatible with older devices)
WEP 128-bit
WPA Personal/PSK (TKIP)
WPA2 Personal/PSK (AES) (most secure, less compatible with older devices)
