ABOUT THE WORLD CLOCK
HOW TO USE THE WORLD CLOCK
The World Clock displays the time in various countries.
The day/night areas are also indicated on the map, includ-
ing the Grey Line near the terminator. The difference be-
tween the daylight areas in the Southern and Northern
Hemispheres is displayed correctly, and is updated in real
time. For DX hunting, this can be a very important and
convenient tool for specific long distance HF QSOs, for
example, you can target the time the other station might
have access to, say, the 80-meter band, enabling you to
complete a QSO. In addition, an alarm is provided which
beeps with respect to a designated area at a designated
time, and the auto-off timer can also be matched to any
desired area you stipulate.
