ABOUT THE SPECTRUM SCOPE
SPECTRUM SCOPE
This page displays the Spectrum Scope, which is conve-
nient for monitoring band activity.
The entire screen will become a spectrum display, and
Both strong and weak signals from the Main (VFO-A)
band receiver are clearly shown.
The LBWS (Limited Band Width Sweep) function pro-
vides very high-speed signal detection over a limited band
segment.
The CTR mode (your frequency is located at the center of
the screen), permits monitoring signals close to your cur-
rent frequency.
The FIX mode (the left band edge frequency is fixed) can
also be engaged. These features have been carefully con-
sidered for their utility in actual Amateur Radio opera-
tion.
If the “Spectrum Scope” screen does not initially appear,
press the
[
DISPLAY
]
key to toggle the Function key op-
erations to “Page Select” mode. Then press the
[
F2
(
RF
SCOPE
)]
key briefly to display the “Spectrum Scope”
screen. Next, press the
[
DISPLAY
]
key again to toggle
the Function key operations to “Function Keys.”
Quick Point: The vertical axis of the Spectrum Scope is
10 dB per division.
During transmission, the transmitters waveform will be
displayed.
EXPLANATION OF THE FUNCTION KEYS ON THE SPECTRUM SCOPE SCREEN
The operation of the individual function tabs will change, depending on the display page being viewed. Carefully inspect
the function tabs as you change pages, to ensure you are performing the correct and desired function.

Advice: On this screen, the functions assigned to the
function keys are changed. If you want to return to the

Press this key repeatedly to choose the range of fre-
quencies shown across the spectrum display.

If the setting is toggled to 2500 kHz, and you press
this key once more, the span returns to 25 kHz again.
The current span is indicated below the SPAN indica-
tion, above the spectrum display.

