MENU MODE CONFIGURATION CHANGES
When you want to change a menu mode setting, follow the procedure described below.
1. Press the
[
MENU
]
button briefly.
The monitor will display the Menu page. Included on
this page will be the Menu Group, Menu Item Name,
Menu Item Number, and the current status (setting)
for each Menu item.
2. Use the
[
KEY6
(
)]
/
[
KEY7
(
)]
keys or Main Tun-
ing Dial (for FT-2000/D and FT-950, or

SELECT

knob for FTDX5000), to select the Menu
item you wish to work on.
3. Use the the

keys or

knob (for FT-2000/D,

for FT-950, or

VFO-B

SELECT
]
knob for
FTDX5000), to change the setting of the selected Menu
item.
4. Press and hold the
[
MENU
]
button for 2 seconds to
save (within the transceiver) the new setting; the menu
screen will close, and you will then return to the screen
that was in use before entering the menu mode.
If you press the
[
MENU
]
button briefly to exit, the new
settings will not be saved, and you will exit from the
menu mode without retaining the new configuration.
USING THE MENU MODE
MENU MODE RESET
It is possible to reset (only) the Menu mode set-
tings back to their factory default. Do this if you
want to clear all settings out, and start fresh with
the original values.
1. Turn the front panel
[
POWER
]
switch off.
2. Press and hold in the
[
MENU
]
button, and while
holding it in, press the
[
POWER
]
switch to turn
the transceiver back on. Now, release the
[
MENU
]
button.
