4. Rotate the DIAL knob just to the point where the noise is silenced and the front
panel’s green “BUSY” indicator turns off. If the SQL control is set further clockwise,
sensitivity to weak signals is reduced.
5. Press the [SELECT] key momentarily to save your new setting and resume normal
operation.
Selecting the Operating Band
Press the front panels [BANDS]/[BANDT] keys to switch the operating band as
follows:

Note: The FTM-10R provides for automatic receiving mode changing when the radio is
tuned to different operating frequencies. However, you may change other receiving
mode via Menu Item “F28 RX MODE” (Except the FM BC Band and AM BC Band). See
page ?? for details.
Band Expansion
The FTM-10R can be received the following frequency bands via the Menu Item.
1. Press and hold the [SELECT] key for one second to activate the Menu (SET) mode.
2. Rotate the DIAL knob to select Menu Item “F4 BAND.”
3. Press the [X] key to enable selection of this Menu Item.
4. Rotate the DIAL knob to change the setting to “EXPAND.”
5. Press the [SELECT] key momentarily to save your new setting and resume normal
operation.
When the band is expanded, you can see the “AIR,” “GR1,” and “GR2” additional
frequency bands between the “WX Band” and “Audio Line.”
