will appear in the display for a moment (thus enabling the DTMF Autodialer).
While the DTMF Autodialer is activated, the “TELEPHONE” icon will appear on the
LCD.
Note: The “DT CODE” indication is Manual DTMF Tone Generation mode, described
previously.
In the Autodialer mode, which you just engaged, first press the PTT key, then press the
microphone’s numeric key ([1] through [9]) corresponding to the DTMF memory string
you wish to send. Once the string begins, you may release the PTT key, as the
transmitter will be held “on the air” until the DTMF string is completed.
Note: In the FTM-10R, the DTMF sending speed and DTMF delay time (between the
time our transmitter is keyed and the first DTMF digits is sent) are fixed. The DTMF
sending speed is 50 msec (20 digits per second), and DTMF delay time is 450 msec.
Miscellaneous Setting
Programming the Key Assignments
In the factory default, the optional MH-68A6J Microphone’s [PGM] key functions have
been assigned to the “WX CH.” This may be changed by the user, if you wish to assign
quick access to another function.
To change the assignments for the MH-68A6J Microphone’s [PGM] key:
1. Press and hold the [SELECT] key for one second to activate the Menu (SET) mode.
2. Rotate the DIAL knob to select Menu Item “F23 PRGM KEY.”
3. Press the [X] key to enable selection of this Menu item.
4. Rotate the DIAL knob to select the function you wish to assign to the [PGM] key.
The available choices:
TX LOW: Selects the Transmitter Power Level.
RPTR: Sets the Repeater Shift Direction.
SQL TYP: Selects the CTCSS/DSC Operation.
REV: Reverses the Transmit and receive frequency during split-frequency
operation.
TSQLF: Selects the CTCSS frequency.
DCODE: Selects the DCS code.
MONI: Disable the noise and tone squelch systems.
T CALL: Activates 1750 Hz Tone Burst
SSCH: Engages the Smart Search operation.
