Once you have completed the above calibration, you can confirm the current Barometric
Pressure, or your current Altitude, from the front panel’s keypad:
How to Measure the Barometric Pressure
Press and hold in the
[

BRO
)]
key to display the current
Barometric Pressure. The pressure in millibars will be dis-
played below the frequency. If you leave the display in
this mode, a bar graph will be created, over time, to indi-
cate relative changes in the pressure (two bars per hours).
To return to normal operation, press and hold the
[

(
BRO
)]
key for one second. If you
were operating with the Main VFO field enlarged, press
[

key instead.
How to Measure the Altitude
Press and hold in the

key to display the cur-
rent Altitude.
