Wave Server Installation Guide
Administrator PC requirements
The administrator PC must meet the following requirements:
•
Operating system: The following operating systems can be used:
• Microsoft Windows 2000
• Windows Server 2003, base release or higher
• Windows XP SP2 or higher
• Windows Vista, base release or higher
Note: You should have your Microsoft operating system disks on hand in case you need
to install any Windows components required to connect to the Wave Server.
•
Processor: Minimum Pentium 233 MHz PC.
•
Memory: Minimum 64 MB RAM.
•
Network connection: TCP/IP connection to the Wave Server via an Ethernet card or
modem.
•
Software:
•
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 or 7.0: Be sure that Internet Explorer is
configured to connect directly to the Internet—do not connect using a defined proxy
server.
•
Browser pop-up blocker software: Some of the Wave Global Administrator
Management Console applets display dialogs and warnings automatically. If you
have installed browser pop-up blocker software on the administrator PC, or popup
blocker software is enabled by default in your browser, these pop-ups may not be
displayed. You can usually configure pop-up blocker software to allow pop-ups
from specific domains or IP addresses.
•
Java Runtime Environment: Be sure to use the version of Java Runtime
Environment (JRE) that came with your Wave Server—do not upgrade to a newer
version that you obtain elsewhere. Failure to use the correct version of JRE may
result in the inability to import and/or activate licenses and other problems.
