About the Wave IP 2500 Server
The Wave IP 2500 Server consists of the following components.
Wave Server base unit. See the next section.
Power supply. See page 4-4.
Expansion options, including expansion cards and modules, Expansion Units (EXUs),
and the Media Resource Modules (MRMs). See page 4-5.
Important: Note that a monitor, keyboard, and mouse are not included with and are not
supported on the Wave Server. You use the administrator PC, described in Chapter 5, to
configure and manage the Wave ISM.
About the Wave IP 2500 base unit
The Wave IP 2500 base unit consists of the following:
A 19-inch rack-mountable chassis that includes room for expansion.
The Wave Integrated Services Card (ISC1), an embedded processor that provides primary
system control including voice processing and packet switching elements.
About the ISC1
The ISC1 includes the following:
6 SIP Gateway ports
4 analog FXO trunk ports (first four pairs on a shared RJ-21X connector)
4 analog FXS station ports (last four pairs on a shared RJ-21X connector)
