Managing a queue’s password security
Use the options on the Security tab in the Queue dialog to protect the queue’s account and your
Wave system from unauthorized access and toll fraud. For more information about protecting
your system from toll fraud, see Appendix A in the Wave Global Administrator Guide.
To configure password security for a queue
1 Click the Security tab in the Queue dialog.
2 Specify security options:
Password never expires. If checked, the queue’s password does not expire, although
you can always manually change it or force it to be changed. If unchecked, the
password may expire as determined by your system settings (see “Enforcing strong
password security” in Chapter 4 in the Wave Global Administrator Guide).
Important: Checking this field is a security risk, as long-standing passwords are easier
to guess.
