Handling your voice messages 7-7
Chapter 7: Managing Voice Messages in ViewPoint
Wave ViewPoint User Guide
E-mailing a voice message
You can e-mail a voice message as a WAV or MP3 file attachment to someone who is outside
the Wave system.
To e-mail a voice message, you must have an e-mail reader that supports MAPI installed on your
computer, such as Microsoft Outlook or Eudora Pro.
To e-mail a voice message
1. Select the message you want to send by e-mail.
2. Choose
File > Send To, and select the desired format for the Mail Recipient. Your MAPI
mail ViewPoint Send dialog opens with the message attached.
3. Address and send the e-mail as you normally would.
Opening the contact record from a voice message
If a voice message was left by an identified contact (see Chapter 10), you can open the contact
record to view or change information about the contact. To do so, choose
Actions > Open
Contact
.
Deleting voice messages
By default, messages in the Deleted folder that are older than three days are permanently
removed from Wave. For information about how to change the default, see “Emptying the
Deleted folder” on page 2-34.
To move a voice message to the Deleted folder
1. Select the message.
2. Choose
Edit > Delete. The message is moved to the Deleted folder. You can still play it or
retrieve it if necessary.
