Recording a new greeting
To record a new greeting
1. Choose File > New > Greeting. The Greeting dialog opens.
2. Enter a
Name for the greeting.
3. Record the greeting by using the audio controls. See “Using the audio controls” on
page 2-36.
4. In the
Recording audio script field, enter the greeting description, typically the text of the
recorded greeting.
5. Select the
Active greeting for this extension checkbox to make this the greeting that
callers hear when they reach your voice mail. Other greetings will be played only if you
reference them in a call rule, routing list, or a personal status.
