almost any position and allow it to move up and down with minimal effort.
B. If there is too much lifting power on the
tailgate, and it will not go completely down
or stay completely down, please refer to
TROUBLESHOOTING #2. This involves
using a marker or puncher to make a mark
on the tailgate side support tube/angle at
the same height as the opening in the
cable loop, as shown in X of Fig 5-2.
5) Drill a through 1/2-inch hole at X.
6) Slide the cable thimble onto the gate attachment bolt . as FIG. 5-3.
Note: The cable is as straight as possible when pulling, then tighten the
nuts.

7) Repeat the two steps above on the other side.
Troubleshooting Instruction:
1) If a roller is not spinning freely:
Check the housing and cable are straight. Check the housing for
deformation.
2) If there is too much lifting power on your tailgate.
A. Use S-Hooks to test different cable attachment positions and lifting
power and adjust the value of L.
