Instructions
There are four components to the Dual Beam Ice-Ducer system.
They include the Transducer, the Float, the Stop and the Switch.
1. Install the Stop by passing the Transducer cord through the slit in
the side of the Stop.
2. Install the Float between the Stop and the Transducer in the same
way. Make sure the tapered hole is facing up towards the Stop.
Pushing the Stop into this hole helps it grip the cable.
3. Adjust the Stop to allow the Transducer to float at the desired
depth. Keep at least 2” between the Transducer and Float in order
to make sure that the it will hang straight. Try not to hang it below
the bottom of the ice, as this can cause tangling problems when
bringing in a fish. Many Vexilar ice fishing packs also come with a
support arm or eye that you can use in place of the Float.
4. Set the Switch to the desired beam angle setting; wide or narrow.
IMPORTANT - Before using the Ice-Ducer each
time, wet the face of it by rubbing the bottom of the
Transducer with water. This will eliminate any
residue, ice or air film and insure good acoustical
contact between the Transducer and the water.

Testing and Fine Tuning
No Ice-Ducer will ever hang exactly straight, but in order to see your
bait easily while ice fishing, it should be close. You can insure that your
Ice-Ducer is working properly by doing a simple air test and some fine
tuning.
1. Hang the Ice-Ducer about 24” over a hard
floor and set it to Wide.
2. Turn on your flasher and set the gain to
zero and the range to the shallowest
setting.
3. Watch the flasher display as you move the Transducer
around. Look for the strongest signal on the display. If a
2nd echo shows, you’re very close to a perfect vertical. You
can disregard the depth accuracy because this is an air test.
4. If the Transducer will not hang straight on it’s own, pull on
the cable hard twisting it around in a circle. This will break
free any excess sealant left over from manufacturing.
5. Retest to see if it will hang straight by itself. If not, repeat
but now pull the cable only towards the direction it needs
to go. Generally, if the flasher shows at least a steady
orange in the floor signal you can be satisfied that it will
perform on the ice.
