13. Install the provided optional heater duct (recommended to minimize condensation problems). It is used to
redirect warm air onto the lower dome surface. The duct snaps directly into the heater shell. Rotate the
duct slightly counter-clockwise and insert the duct locking tabs into the heater shell. Refer to Figure
below. Squeeze the tabs by slightly pushing the duct against the heater shell and inserting the corner
posts into the heater shell. Push the duct vertically into the shell until it can’t go anymore, incurring that
the edges of the duct and heater shell are aligned. The dome/trim ring assembly includes a retainer.
When this is attached to the upper housing, it fits into the tabs on the heater duct, locking the duct in
position. For the duct to work properly, fan operation must be set to Defog mode. Refer to the
SurveyorVFT Programming Manual, XX134-4X, for instructions on menu selections.

14. Lift the SurveyorVFT camera drive up to the housing and attach the housing’s safety cord clip to the
camera drive’s tab. See Figure 17. Allow the drive to hang from the housing. Insert the clip of the safety
cord from the lower dome into the hole on the inside of the housing. See label inside housing.
