Submitting Questions to VOS
If you cannot locate the information you need in VOS, you can submit
your own question in the Log a Case tab. VOS creates a new case,
which you can use to track the response to your query.
To submit a new question to VOS:
1. Log in to VOS, as described in Logging in to VOS on page G-2.
2. Click the Log a Case tab.
3. Complete all the required (*) fields, and any optional fields you
wish to, and click Submit.
4. A confirmation page with the unique Case Number, Subject, and
Date/Time Opened details for your new case is displayed.
A list of related answers currently in the VOS knowledge base is
displayed in the Suggested Answers section, from which you
can click a specific topic to view.
An VOS incident confirmation message with the details of the
noted is automatically sent to the email account registered with
Vicon Support.
Viewing Cased in VOS
You can view cases that have been raised for questions you submitted
to VOS in the View Cases tab.
To view cases in VOS:
1. Log in to VOS, as described in Logging in to VOS on page G-2.
2. Click the View Cases tab.
A list of the cases you have raised that have not yet been resolved
is displayed in the My Open Cases section.
3. In the My Open Cases section, click the desired button to review
other answers:
View All Cases. Displays the All Open Cases section
containing a list of all cases, including those raised by other
users, that have not yet been resolved.
View Closed Cases. Displays the All Closed Cases section
containing a list of all cases, including those raised by other
users, that have been resolved.
