Uploader VT8000 Tool Install Guide VT8000 Series Introduction The Uploader VT8000 tool allows a User to perform the following three main functions in sequence: • Upload custom image files to VT8000 Series Room Controller for display when in standby mode. • Upload Lua scripts to VT8000 Series Room Controller to perform custom applications. • Upload Firmware updates to VT8000 Series Room Controller.
Uploader VT8000 Tool Install Guide 3 VT8000 Series OPERATION Connection Status The Uploader VT8000 has a status display in the upper right hand corner that indicates when it is ready to upload new files to a connected Room Controller. Refer to below for status display descriptions. If no Room Controller is detected, the status display shows a red dot and the message 'Not connected'.
Uploader VT8000 Tool Install Guide VT8000 Series Prepare Lua Script for Upload This functions shows you how to upload a Lua script to the Room Controller. All Lua script files must end with .lua to upload successfully. Note: the Uploader VT8000 cannot determine is a Lua script ends with a .lua extension. Uploader VT8000 Tool Install Guide 5 VT8000 Series Start Export This procedure shows you how to export a Standby Image, Lua script, or Firmware upgrade to the Room Controller. After a successful export, the drop-down list shows a log of the steps of the export process. If there is a problem, the list identifies step where the process failed (refer to Figure 5). CAUTION: ensure connecting cable is snugly plugged in both Room Controller and Device where Uploader VT8000 is installed.
