Viconics VWG-50 Wireless Gateway Guide Specification

Part 1 – General

1.01 System Description – The VWG-50 when utilized in conjunction with the Viconics VT7000xxxxxW

series and VZ7000xxxxxW wireless communicating controllers shall offer the integrator simple BACnet IP

or BACnet MS/TP objects to integrate over standard building automation systems using familiar

integration toolsets. The Viconics communicating controllers and gateway with wireless field bus allows

the centralization of stand-alone equipment without the need to pass communication wiring.

1.02 Quality Assurance – The wireless gateway must have the following industry approvals and

Part 2 – Equipment 2.01 General – The VWG-50 Wireless Gateway shall provide a simple way in which to integrate Viconics wireless communicating controllers into today’s building automation systems using either BACnet MS/TP or BACnet IP open protocols.         The Viconics Wireless Gateway and related VT7000xxxx Wireless Communicating Controllers shall be supplied with a factory mounted wireless adapter and operate using ZigBee/IEEE 802.15.4 physical layer for communication.
