ProPress 316 and ProPress XL 316 for Stainless Steel
Viega ProPress 316 and ProPress XL 316 are stainless ttings
that are designed to be used with Viega 316 stainless steel
pipe to form a complete press system that is ideal for potable
water and durable enough to handle industrial applications or
environments. ProPress 316 ttings feature the same EPDM
sealing element found in ProPress copper ttings and provide
the same permanent leak-free connections in dimensions from
½" to 4". Viega ProPress 316 ttings can stand up to severe
environments and harsh disinfectants while transporting potable
water, deionized water, isopropyl alcohol, ethanol, low pressure
steam or any number of other essential uids.

Viega ProPress 316 ttings are offered in congurations
including: elbows, couplings, reducers, tees, reducing tees,
threaded adapters, unions, caps and anges.

In ProPress 316 ttings, the Smart Connect Feature assures
leakage of liquids and/or gases from inside the system past the
sealing element of an unpressed connection. The function of this
feature is to provide the installer quick and easy identication of
connections which have not been pressed prior to putting the
system into operation.
Viega ProPress 316 systems are approved for underground
use. When installed underground, Viega ProPress 316 should
have proper corrosion protection in accordance with local and
national codes.
