7 ViegaPEX Ultra Tubing
ViegaPEX Ultra
cross-linked polyethylene is the ideal
tubing choice for potable water systems. In addition,
the smooth walls of ViegaPEX Ultra tubing are resistant
to corrosion and scaling.
7.1 ViegaPEX Ultra properties and performance
Linear Expansion Coefficient:
• 1.1 inch per 100 feet per 10°F
Temperature and Pressure Ratings:
• 180°F at 100 psi
• 73.4°F at 160 psi
UV Resistance:
• Maximum exposure 6 months
Chlorine Resistance:
• PEX 5306 — end-use condition of 100% at 140°F
(approved for continuous domestic hot water
circulation systems)
Bend Radius:
ViegaPEX Ultra can be easily bent by hand, or with
the use of Viega-approved bend supports toaradius
as small as five times tubing outerdiameter.
