PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING SUBSON: 1. HEED WARNINGS. Observe all warnings on the subwoofer and in the operating instructions. 2. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. Follow all operating and use instructions. 3. DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE. The product should be serviced by qualified personnel if: a) The product does not appear to operate normally or exhibits a marked change in operation. b) The power cord or plug has been damaged.
13. LIGHTNING STORMS. Unplug SUBSON during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. 14. CLEANING. The product should be cleaned only as recommended later in this instruction manual. 15. RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS. Retain the safety and operating instructions for future reference.
4 high level inputs: to derive signal from the loudspeaker outputs of an amplifier using speaker cables for the connection, in cases where the preferred chinch input is not feasible. ATTENTION: Please ensure the correct polarity (consistency of plus and minus) when connecting to the high level inputs! 5 chinch or RCA phono inputs: to derive signal from preamplifier or subwoofer outputs. The preferred method for connection of SUBSON.
Start with the controls in the following positions: Crossover frequency: middle position (LOW PASS knob) Volume: start at the middle position (12h) (VOLUME knob) Phase: 0° (PHASE switch) 6. Listen: While playing music that has an abundance of consistent low bass, adjust the output level of SUBSON until both the main speaker’s and the subwoofer’s bass are clearly audible. [Attention: It may be necessary, and in fact normal, that you have to turn the VOLUME control close to, or even at, its maximum level.
MAINTENANCE: Your subwoofer cabinet can be cleaned periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use any chemical detergents. Should spots or stains appear, clear water can be used to gently remove them. Should the bass driver become dusty, it is safe to use a soft brush or cloth to clean the woofer.
