The crane boom does not return to its centre
position when F5 is activated:
In rare cases the real position of the crane may
not coincide with the position calculated by the de-
coder. In such a case let the crane boom perform
a complete turn.
Should this not be sucient, proceed as described
under point “The red and white headlights are
blinking simultaneously”.
The crane boom does not turn even though F3
is active:
You have assigned a second address for the crane
control. This means that you operate the crane
boom at the additional address which can be pro-
grammed at CVs 130 and 131. If this address is
commanded with a speed not equal to zero, the
crane will follow these commands instead of the
ones sent at the original address. During this, F3
has no eect. If the additional address is set to zero
or if the speed at the additional address is set to
zero, the crane control via F3 at the vehicle’s ad-
dress becomes eective again.
Furthermore, the crane cannot be controlled man-
ually if the function F5 for the automatic return to
central position is active. Therefore, if you cannot
control the crane boom, check rst if this function
has been activated by mistake.
The red and white headlights are blinking
simultaneously:
If the red and white headlights at front and rear are
blinking simultaneously, then there is something
wrong with the detection of the position of the
crane boom. Simply recalibrate the crane.
Switch on the crane operating mode by pressing
F3. Now only the white headlights are blinking.
Move the crane boom to its centre position above
the loading platform by controlling it with the throt-
tle. Then turn o the crane operating mode by
pressing F3 once again. Then the crane boom will
turn full circle and automatically determine its cen-
tre position. After this has been accomplished suc-
cessfully, the blinking headlights extinguish and the
crane is once again ready for operation.
You may also trigger calibration by setting the val-
ue 202 in CV 126. Then proceed as described
above.
Please refer to chapter 10 “Warranty” if you can-
not nd the cause of the failure and therefore can-
not rectify it.
