Cleaning the DHW cylinder

Note

DIN 1988 requires a visual inspection and (if necessary) cleaning every two

years after the cylinder has been taken into use and thereafter according to

requirements.

1. Drain the DHW cylinder.

2. Remov e flange lid A.

3. Disconnect the cylinder from the

pipework to prevent c ontaminants

entering the pipe system.

4. Remove loose deposits with a high

pressure cleaner.

Please note

Only use plastic utensils for

cleaning the insi de of the

cylinder.

5. Use a che mical cleaning age nt to

remove hard deposits that cannot

be removed by a hi gh pressure

cleaner.

Please note

Never use hydr ochloric

cleaning agents.

6. Thoroughly flush the DHW cylinder

after cleaning.

Checking and replacing the magnesium anode (if required)

Check the magnesium anode. We recommend you change the magnesium

anodeifithasbeenreduceddownto10to15mmØ.
