INSTALLATION OF THE SHOWER DOORS BY AN INEXPERIENCED PERSON MAY RESULT IN GLASS BREAKAGE AND, CONSEQUENTLY, CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH. PREPARATION STEPS TO FOLLOW BEFORE INSTALLATION 1. Remove the plastic layer from the base border (if needed). Do NOT remove the plastic layer off the plastic platform of the base. 2. Properly apply silicone to the wall and base joints. 3. Make sure to read corresponding base instructions carefully prior to install on the Vigo Brand Shower Door System. Failure to do so can cause water leakage and bodily harm.
INSTALLATION STEPS A. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. INSTALLING THE BOTTOM RAIL Remove the aluminum cover from the front piece of the bottom rail by sliding it out. Remove top of the corner joint. Slide the bottom corner joint (2 pieces) (#10) onto the bottom rail (3 pieces) (#8). [SEE FIG.2] Align the bottom rail and corner joint to the desired position on the shower base. Prior to drilling, dry fit everything making sure that everything is straight, level and plum. Pre-drill for sinkers and tap sinkers.
B. 1. INSTALLING SIDE GLASS PANEL Install the side seal strip (#5) to the wall side of the side glass panel (#4). Make sure to leave a 3/8" gap at the bottom. [SEE FIG.4] Screw in the glass support (#6) to the side glass panel using the hex key (supplied) making sure to slide it back as far as possible from the glass before you tighten. The part that connects the wall should be facing in. [SEE FIG.5] Be sure to use gaskets on both sides of the panel.
C. 1. 2. 3. HINGE INSTALLATION Clean the glass surface on the side glass panel (#4) where the hinges (#7) are to be installed with rubbing alcohol. Position hinges on the side glass panel. [SEE FIG.6] Place a shim between the glass and the hinge on the bottom. The metal should not rest on the glass. [SEE FIG.6A] Place gaskets on each side of the side glass panel. Screw the hinges to the side glass panel with the hex key (supplied).
D. 1. 2. 3. INSTALLING THE DOOR SIDE SEAL STRIPS Clean the door glass panels (#12) edges where the door side seal strips (#13) are to be installed with rubbing alcohol. Place the seal strips according to the diagram. [SEE FIG.7] Verify that the lips of all seal strips face toward the inside of the shower cabin before seal strip installation. NOTES: 1. If the seal strip is not flat and is twisted, soak the strip in hot water and press the seal strip back into position. 2.

INSTALLING THE DOOR Clean the door (#12) glass surfaces where the hinges (#7) are to be installed with rubbing alcohol. Do not install the handle first, this is dangerous and may cause the glass to break. Install the top hinge first for safety and ease of install. Position the door onto the hinges.
F. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. INSTALLING THE SIDE PANEL SUPPORTS Install the support assembly (#3) onto the side glass panel (#4) approximately two-thirds away from the wall. Use hex key to tighten to screws. [SEE FIG.9] Install the support assembly to the structural arm (#2) and wall connector (#1). Make sure it's level. Mark the holes on the wall for the mounting screws for the wall connector. Remove the support assembly. Drill holes into respective marks and put plastic anchors (#18) in them.

INSTALLING THE WATER SEAL STRIPS Clean the door glass panels (#12) edges where the door magnetic seal strips (#9) and the door bottom seal strips (#14) are to be installed with rubbing alcohol. Cut the seal strips according to the diagram. [SEE FIG.11] They are pre-cut already but you may have to cut more to have it fit properly as displayed in the diagram. Verify that the lips of all seal strips face toward the inside of the shower cabin before seal strip installation.
I. APPLYING THE SILICONE 1. 2. Apply clear silicone caulking to the inside between the walls and side seal strips. Apply clear silicone caulk to the inside between the bottom of side glass panels (#4) and bottom rail. Apply clear silicone caulk around the inside perimeter of the bottom rail. [SEE FIG.12] Apply clear silicone caulk to the seal strip connections of the door bottom seal strip (#14) and the door magnetic seal strip (#9) and door side seal strip (#13). [SEE FIG.12A] 3. 4.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SHOWER CABIN AND DOOR PANEL A. B. C. D. Use mild liquid household cleaners to keep metal surface bright and clean. Rinse well and dry with a clean cloth. Remove dust with a soft, damp cloth. Use rubbing alcohol to clean and remove grease, oil, paint, and ink. Accidental scratches or stains will rarely show. If they do show, they can be easily removed with a liquid automobile polish.
