Placing the mowing deck in safe
position for checks:
Lean mowing deck (1) against a wall and
secure against slipping with the foot.
Checking the wear limits:
A = blade thickness
B = blade width
Blade thickness A:
The mowing blade (1) must be at least
4.5 mm thick at all points.
Check the thickness of the blade at several
points using a slide calliper (1).
If the blade thickness is less than 4.5 mm
at any point, the mowing blade must be
replaced.
Blade width B:
Measure the distance (B) using a slide
calliper.
For safety reasons, distance (B) must be
at least 49 mm.
Removing the mowing blade:
Remove the mowing deck. (Ö 12.1)
Lean the mowing deck against a wall
and secure against slipping.
Loosen and remove the blade fastening
screw (1) using an A/F 17 spanner (not
included in standard equipment).
Remove the blade fastening screw (1)
together with retaining washer (2).
Remove the mowing blade (3).
Repeat this procedure on the second
mowing blade.
Sharpening the mowing blade:
The following points must be observed
when re-sharpening mowing blades:
Cool the mowing blade when
sharpening, e.g. with water. The blade
must not be allowed to display blue
colouring, as this would reduce its
cutting quality.
Sharpen blades evenly to prevent
vibration due to imbalance.
The cutting angle of 30° must be
observed.
Observe the wear limits when
sharpening.
Risk of injury:
If the specified wear limits are
reached or exceeded, the mowing
blade must be replaced.
Risk of injury:
Always wear safety glasses and
gloves when sharpening.
Risk of injury:
When resharpening the mowing
blade, it is essential that the wear
limits and the cutting angle of 30°
are observed.
The mowing blade must be
replaced if notches or cracks are
detected, or if the specifications
contained in the section "Checking
the wear limits" are exceeded.
