Checking the balance of the mowing
blades:
Insert a screwdriver (1) through the central
bore.
When mowing blade (2) is properly
balanced, it must balance in the position
illustrated.
Installing the mowing blade:
The following points must be observed
when attaching the mowing blades:
Install the mowing blade with the curved
edges/vanes pointing upwards
(towards the mowing deck).
Attach the mowing blade (1), screw in
blade fastening screw (2) with retaining
washer (3) (observe convexity of retaining
washer) and tighten to a torque of
65 - 70 Nm.
13.7 Checking the installation position
of the mowing deck
Maintenance interval:
Every 50 operating hours.
The mowing deck should be checked
every 50 operating hours or as required
(e.g. following severe impacts to the
mowing deck).
The mowing deck is in the correct
installation position when front of the
mowing deck is slightly lower than the rear.
The mowing deck is tilted slightly forwards.
Park the machine on level ground.
Stop the engine. (Ö 11.3)
Engage the parking brake. (Ö 8.11)
Risk of injury:
If the mowing blade does not
balance, the procedure
"Sharpening the mowing blade"
must be repeated until the blade is
balanced.
The mowing blade may only be
balanced by means of sharpening
back the cutting edges.
Risk of injury:
Before installing, check the mowing
blade for damage (notches or
cracks) and wear.
Worn or damaged mowing blades
must be replaced.
Replace the retaining washer each
time the blade is installed.
Additionally secure the blade
fastening screw with Loctite 243.
Observe the specified torque of
65 - 70 Nm when tightening the
blade fastening screws, as the
secure attachment of the cutting
tool depends on this.
Risk of injury:
For all operations on the mowing
deck, stop the engine and remove
the ignition key.
Never reach under the mowing
deck when the blade is rotating.
Before checking the correct
installation position of the mowing
deck, the tyre pressures of all the
tyres must be checked and, if
necessary, adjusted. (Ö 13.23)
Differences in the tyre pressures
influence the positioning of the
mowing deck.
If the installed mowing deck is not
correctly positioned with respect to
the ground, the cutting pattern can
be negatively influenced.
