Fault:
Excessive vibration during operation.
Possible cause:
– The mowing blades are imbalanced
due to incorrect sharpening or damage.
– The blade fastening screws are not
securely tightened.
– The engine mounting is not securely
tightened.
– V-belt is damaged.
Remedy:
– Re-sharpen the mowing blade and
balance or replace the mowing blade.

– Tighten the blade fastening screws to
the specified torque. (Ö 13.6)
– Tighten the engine mounting. (#)
– Replace the V-belt. (#)
Fault:
Poor cut, lawn turns yellow after mowing.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade blunt or worn.
– The driving speed is too fast in relation
to the mowing conditions (cutting level,
lawn condition).
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position)
– Mowing deck adjustment not OK.
– Mowing deck discharge opening
blocked.
– The mowing deck is soiled with grass
residues (deposits on inside of mowing
deck housing).
Remedy:
– Sharpen or replace the mowing blade
(observe wear limits). (Ö 13.6)
– Reduce the driving speed and select a
higher cutting level.
– Set the throttle lever to the MAX
position. (Ö 8.2)
– Check the mowing deck adjustment
and re-adjust the mowing deck if
necessary. (Ö 13.7)
– Remove grass residues from the
mowing deck discharge opening.
– Clean the inside of the mowing deck.
Fault:
Mowing deck discharge opening blocked.
Possible cause:
– Mowing blade wing worn or damaged.
– Mowing grass which is too long or too
wet.
– The driving speed is too high in relation
to the set cutting level.
– Maximum engine speed not set (throttle
lever not in MAX position)
– Wrong driving direction during mowing
operation.
Remedy:
– Replace the mowing blade. (Ö 13.6)
– Mow the lawn in two stages: 1. Mowing
at the highest cutting level,
2. Mowing at the desired cutting level.
– Reduce the driving speed and select a
higher cutting level.
– Set the throttle lever to the MAX
position. (Ö 8.2)(Ö 8.3)
– Select correct driving direction during
mowing operation.
Fault:
Machine does not eject clippings evenly.
Possible cause:
– Grass is too damp and therefore too
heavy.
– The driving speed is too fast in relation
to the mowing conditions (cutting level,
lawn condition).
– Grass is too high.
– Cutting level set too low.
– Mowing blades are blunt or worn.
– Wings of mowing blades damaged.
– Wrong driving direction during mowing
operation.
– Mowing deck (inside) soiled through
deposited grass residues (residue from
last mowing operation).
Remedy:
– Wait until the lawn is dry.
– Reduce the driving speed and select a
higher cutting level. (Ö 11.6)(Ö 11.4)
– Mow the lawn in two stages: 1. Mowing
at the highest cutting level.
2. Mowing at the desired cutting level.
– Select a higher cutting level. (Ö 11.6)
– Sharpen or replace the mowing blade.
(Ö 13.6)
– Replace the mowing blade.
– Select correct driving direction during
mowing operation. (Ö 8.6)
– Clean inside of mowing deck. (Ö 13.17)
Fault:
Mowing blades do not switch on / do not
rotate.
Possible cause:
– The safety devices are preventing
activation of the mowing blades.
– V-belt (mowing deck) worn, detached or
defective.
Remedy:
– Check whether all the safety
requirements for activation of the
mowing blades are met. (Ö 10.)
– Check V-belt (mowing deck) and
replace if necessary. (#)
