VIKING MODEL VSIL10 IN-LINE FAN

1. The VSIL10 is intended for residen-
tial use only.
2.
Installation work must be done by qual-
ifi ed person(s) in accordance with all
applicable codes and standards. This
inculdes fi re rated contruction codes
and standards.
3.
When cutting or drilling into wall or
ceiling, take care not to damage elec-
trical wiring or other hidden utilites.
4.
When handling the duct s
ilencer,
wear hand pro
tection and stay clear
of sharp edges.
PLANNING THE INSTALLATION
1.
The VSIL10 is designed to be installed as
part of a 10" duct system.
2.
The VSIL10 may be used to reduce the
perceived ventilation
soun
d leve
l
at the
range hood. For this particular application
the VSIL10 should be located between the
fan inlet and the range hood. For optimal
performance, locate the VSIL10 as close to
the inlet of the fan as possible. The VSIL10
may be mounted at any angle,
horizontally
or vertically
.
3. The VSIL10 may also be used to re-
duce perceived ventilation sound level
at the roof cap or wall cap. For this
application the VSIL10 should be
located between the fan outlet and
the roof cap or wall cap. To achieve
the best results locate the VSIL10
as close to the outlet of the fan as
possible. Again the VSIL10 may be
mounted at any angle, horizontally or
vertically.
