-Floor and wall tiles are made of cement and composed of two layers: Wear layer or
colored layer and tile body.
■ Product Components:
A. Wear Layer or Color layer
3-5 mm thickness affixed to the tile body by 1,500-1,700 PSI mechanical pressure.
The layer is composed of:
□ White Portland Cement
□ Marble Dust
□ Silica Sand
□ Mineral Pigments for Color (i.e. Iron, Cobalt and Chromium Oxides)
B. Tile Body
10–13 mm in thickness, this part of the tile is composed of:
□ Gray Portland Cement
□ Sand
■ Standard Dimensions:Manufacturing Tolerance:
For 200x200x12 mm tile: (7-7/8” x 7-7/8” x 1/2')
□ Length/width: +/- 0.2 mm
□ Height: 0.5mm
■ Average Static Coefficient of Friction on Raw Tiles:
□ Dry Surface = 0.89 (using ASTM C1028-07)
□ Wet Surface = 0.65 (using ASTM C1028-07)
■ Average Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCoF) on Sealed Tiles:
□ Wet Surface = 0.36 (using ANSI A326.3 on VLT NanoSealant)
□ Wet Surface = 0.44 (using ANSI A137.1 on HP300)
□ Wet Surface = 0.53 (using ANSI A326.3 on FilaFOB)
