FAQs
1. Can't connect the camera to app, the app is telling me my cell phone is not connected to
wifi even though it is. I cannot continue with the set up until the app recognizes that I am
already connected!
A: Turn on location services in the phone settings. Setting path: Phone Settings > Privacy >
Location Services > ON, and allow the LaiCam app to access the location (While using the
app).
2. Does it work without SD card?
A: Yes, it does. The microSD card is not neccessary, the R8 camera also comes with free cloud
recording. P. S. our previous manual stated that a mircroSD card is required for playback,
which is incorrect. We will correct this error in the subsequent version of user manual.
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.
3. Where can I view the cloud video?
A: "Message" or "Playback" in the app.
4. Why can't I receive push notifications for motion detection?
A: Allow notifications of the LaiCam app in your phone settings.
Phone settings > Notifications > LaiCam > Allow Notifications
5. How do I turn on cloud recording without receiving push notifications frequently?
1) Phone settings > Notifications > LaiCam > NOT Allow Notifications
2) Launch the LaiCam app > System settings > Alarm Settings > Turn on "PIR", "Phone
notifications push", "Cloud recording".
