User's Manual Part 3

Disconnect the Ring Cable from the Omni Ring and left Tower. Detach the Omni Ring by
releasing the levers that are underneath the Ring.
Open the foot levers and bring both Arms to their highest position (position 8). This is
important for safety reasons, as the Arms are spring-loaded and will jump up once the safety
release square is disengaged.
Disengage the safety release square on each of the Towers while holding one hand on the Arm
at all times. Pull the safety release square out slightly from the tower, just enough so that you
are able to rotate it counter-clockwise, as indicated on the face. It will only turn a few degrees,
so that the corners are now overlapping the four sides of the housing.
You can now let go of the safety release square, and cautiously remove each of the Arms.

Maintenance of your Omni
The accumulation of dust and grease on the Base and underside of the Omni Shoes can affect the
smooth operation of your Omni. Occasionally you should clean the Base and Shoes using a mild
soap and water. Wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth and leave to dry.
Use only soap and water to clean the Omni and its accessories. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive
cleaning products, as they may damage the nish. Be sure the Omni is completely dry before attempting
to use after cleaning.
Never use chemical cleaners or any other reactive agents on the oor surface of the Omni Base. Do not
add liquids or other substances to the Omni Base to try to alter the texture or friction coefcient of the
Omni Base – doing so may damage the Omni or may cause unsafe usage conditions.
If the Omni Pods need cleaning, wipe them off with a damp towel and allow them to dry completely
before attempting to recharge. Do not submerge the Pods in liquid, or expose them to heat.
