Introduction PC DVR Range The x-vision PCDVR range of PC based CCTV systems comprise of a Video Capture Card and Software. The Video Capture Card is installed in to a spare PCI slot on any compatible PC, and the software loaded on to the PC, which must be running Windows 2000 or XP. The PC then becomes a powerful Digital Hard Drive Recorder, that can record up to 32 CCTV cameras at up to 200 fps, and at high resolution directly on to the PC's hard drive.
PC DVR Range Main Features (continued) To minimize false detections, the motion detection feature lets you adjust its sensitivity, so it ignores small movements such as rain, and areas of each cameras view can be masked, so for example it ignores movement on the road in front of your premises, but does not ignore movement on the pavement Once movement has been detected as well as recording it the software can call up to 3 telephone numbers and play a prerecorded message, or alternatively send an email with
PC DVR Range Recording Speed & Times: Recording Speeds The x-vision card has 3 different modes of operation for allocating frames to cameras: There are 10 different models of x-vision cards, as well as a choice of camera capacity, they are available with a choice of frame rates, these rates relate to the number of images that are captured per second. To record a camera in real time a frame rate of at least 25 fps is required.
Plug & Play Wiring Accessories Our Plug & Play cable makes fitting your camera quick and easy, as it carries the picture, sound and power down the same cable. Simply connect one side of the cable to the camera and the other to the Tv, Video or CCTV equipment (Switcher, Quad, Multiplexer, DVR, DVR Card).
Standard Wiring Accessories Standard wiring is favoured by installers the world over. It takes longer to set up and run than DIY Plug & Play wiring and requires the installer to put the connectors on the cable However it is more flexible, allowing the cameras to be powered either locally or from another location up to 250m away per camera. We do not recommend the use of this type of cabling by those who are not familiar with CCTV installation, please use DIY Plug & Play wiring if this applies to you.
Cat5 Wiring Wiring Cat 5 wiring (also known as structured cabling) is increasingly being used as an alternative to standard wiring, the main reason is that many commercial buildings have spare Cat 5 cables running through the building and the majority of new buildings have Cat 5 run throughout the building.
