ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION GUIDE
WE RECOMMEND INSTALLATION OF THIS LIGHTING FIXTURE BE DONE BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
WARNING *** SWITCH OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT
BREAKER BEFORE INSTALLATION.
INSPECT ITEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL. IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE OR
OBVIOUS DEFECT, DO NOT INSTALL.
ITEM MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
1. Remove mounting strap (A) from fixture base (D) by unscrewing cap nut (E).
2. Gently pull the wires from the ceiling outlet and allow the wires to hang. Thread the wires through the center hole in
mounting strap (A).
3. Affix mounting strap (A) onto ceiling outlet box and secure with mounting screws (C).
4. Connect the hot wire from the fixture (BLACK) to the hot wire from ceiling outlet box (usually BLACK). Fasten them
together with a plastic wire connector provided and wrap connection with electrical tape.
5. Repeat this procedure for the WHITE neutral wires from the light fixture to the wire from ceiling outlet box (usually
WHITE).
6. Connect ground wire from the light fixture (bare copper) to ground wire from ceiling outlet box (usually green or
copper in color).
7. Attach fixture base (D) to affixed mounting strap (A), letting nipple (B) on mounting strap (A) pass through the center
hole on fixture base (D) and secure with cap nut (E).
8. Insert light bulbs into sockets.
9. Carefully insert the glass shade (F) into glass holder (G).
10. Attach shade holder (G) with glass shade (F) to fixture base (D), aligning the holes on fixture base (D) with the holes
on shade holder (G) and secure with base screws (H).
11. INSTRUCTIONS FOR MOUNTING FIXTURE OUTDOORS AND/OR IN WET LOCATION:
a. Mounting surface should be clean, dry, flat and 114” larger than canopy/fixture base on all sides. Any gaps
between the mounting surface and canopy exceeding 3/16” should be corrected as required.
b. With silicone (ex. GE-108) caulking compound, caulk completely around where back of canopy meets the wall
surface to prevent water from seeping into outlet box.
12. TO CHANGE LIGHT BULB:
1.Hold shade holder (G) with glass shade (F) while loosening base screws (H). Use Type A, maximum 60 watt or 13
watt CFL bulbs. Replace shade holder with glass shade back and tighten with base screws (H).
