ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION GUIDE
WE RECOMMEND INSTALLATION OF THIS LIGHTING FIXTURE BE DONE BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN.
WARNING *** SWITCH OFF THE MAIN ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FROM THE MAIN FUSE BOX/CIRCUIT
BREAKER BEFORE INSTALLATION.
INSPECT ITEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL. IF THERE IS ANY DAMAGE OR
OBVIOUS DEFECT, DO NOT INSTALL.
ITEM MAY NOT BE RETURNED ONCE IT HAS BEEN INSTALLED.
1. Attach chain to top loop by opening/closing end link of chain.
2. Feed wire through chain. Attach chain with fixture to chain mounting loop at desired height.
3. Remove back plate (A) from canopy (D) by unscrewing canopy screw (C).
4. Gently pull the wires from the ceilling and allow the wires to hang. Thread the wire through the center hole in back
plate (A). Attach the ground wire (silver or brass in color) from the fixture to the ground junction box wire (usually
green or copper wire). Fasten together with a plastic wire connector and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Be
sure no wire strands are exposed.It is imperative that the outlet box in your home be properly grounded.
5. Connect the neutral wire from the fixture (ridges molded wire) to the neutral wire from the junction box (usually
white). Fasten together with a plastic wire connector and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Be sure no wire
strands are exposed.
6. Connect the hot wire from the fixture (smooth wire) to the hot wire (usually black) from the junction box. Fasten each
together with a plastic wire connector and wrap the connection with electrical tape. Be sure that no wire strands are
exposed. DO NOT REVERSE THE HOT AND NEUTRAL CONNECTIONS AND NEUTRAL CONNECTIONS OR
SAFETY WILL BE COMPROMISED.
7. Attach the back plate (A) to the outlet box and tighten with mounting screw (B).
8. Replace the canopy (D) to the back plate (A) and tighten with canopy screws (C).
9. Insert light bulb into socket.
10. Hold the metal shade cover (E), insert glass shade (G) into metal shade cover and secure with the thumbscrews (F).
DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN OTHERWISE IT WILL CAUSE GLASS TO BE BROKEN.
11. TO CHANGE LIGHT BULB: Hold glass shade (G), then remove glass shade (G) by loosening thumbscrews (F) , use
Type A, maximumn 75 watt. bulb. Replace glass shade (G) back and tighten with the thumbscrews (F).
