NCA0012 Gamma ERA99-A Environmental Radiation Alarm
The ERA99-A is a robust, portable unit designed to give a visible and audible
indication of environmental radiation. Operation is by means of sealed push
buttons. ON activates the unit to its standby position with an Amber flashing
beacon. Depressing the PRE-WARN button causes a continuous audible
tone. In the event of radiation, the unit will automatically switch to a Red
flashing beacon and give a ten to twenty second continuous audible tone in
excess of 100 db. The OFF button removes power from the unit. Provision is
also made for driving up to five slave indicators.

Similar in appearance to the ERA99-A the Slave Unit has only a single Red
beacon. The Slave Unit is connected to the ERA99-A by a 10m long cable and
is activated when the presence of radiation in excess of 7.5µSv/hr triggers the
alarm in the ERA99-A.
