1. Press “ PR O G ” t o e nte r the progr a m m i n g
mode. Notice the heater icon flashing.
2. Hold the “JET button down for 10 seconds.
3. The display will show “ S = 3 ”.Use the“ UP ”
or “ D OW N arrows to change the display.
S = 3 Indicates that the heater will stay on when
thepumpsareonatanytime.HighorLow
s p e e d .
S = 2 Indicates that the heater will shut off if either
of the large pumps are turned on high speed
S = 1 Indicates that the heater will only run when
the primary pump is on low speed. Since the
heater is associated with the HE ET pump system,
the primary pump does not need to be on for the
heater to operate. Yet in an effort to control the
amperage draw and conserve electricity, the
heater will run if the primary pump is turned onto
low speed but then shut off while the primary
pump goes to high speed or if the secondary
pump is turned on high. Once the power level
has been set, this does not have to be set each
time. It will be entered into the system memory.
NOTE: FOR UNITS WITH THE OPTIONAL 3rd
PUMP FEATURE.
The third pump can be activated from either the
topside control or the remote control. From the
Topside control, one must press the “ L I G H T ”
button twice to activate the third pump. Th e
lights will remain on while the pump is in
o p e r a t i o n .
The third pump can also be activated from the
remote control by pressing the“ L I G H T ” b u t t o n
twice or by pressing the “JET 3 button. By
activating the pump with the “JET 3 button, the
lights will not be turned on. Only when the
“ L I G H T ” button is used to activate the pump
will the lights be turned on. Either the “ L I G H T ”
button or the “JET 3 button may be used to
turn the pump off.
The Service Amperage Draw setting are not
associated with the operation of the 3rd pump.
Running the 3rd pump while the Service
Amerage is in the S=2 or S=1 setting will not
have any affect on the heater.
B. HEAT DAYS
If your spa is located in a weekend home,
or if your schedule allows utilization of the spa
only on certain days of the week, you may
decide for energy conservation reasons to
lower the water temperature on the days you
will not use the spa. To choose different
temperatures for different days of the week:
1. Press the “PROG” button. The heater
icon will start flashing. With the temperature
showing and the heater icon
flashing, hold down the “PROG” button for 5
seconds and the current heat day
(hd=1,hd=2…etc.) will appear.
2. Press the PROG” button to advance to
the next heat day or if you would like to
change the temperature from the originally
set temperature.
3. With the heat day showing, press the
“ U P ” arrow button to display the set
temperature for that day.
4. Then press the “UP” or “DOWN arrow
buttons to select the temperature for that day.
5. Repeat steps 2, 3, & 4 to select any other
temperature for any other day. To exit
procedure, wait 30 seconds or press any
button except PROG”, “UP” and “DOWN”.
Example: Let’s assume that you have
selected 100 degrees F as your desired
t e m p e r a t u r e i n t h e “ S e t t i n g P e r m a n e n t
Temperature” procedure and Sunday as “1.
You would now like to lower the water
temperature to 80 degrees F on Mondays,
Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
Press “PROG.
Hold down “PROG” for 5 seconds.
Press PROG” as many times as needed to
display “hd=2” (Monday).
Press “UP” to display temperature.
Hold down “ D OW N ” button to lower
temperature to 80 degrees F.
Repeat steps 2, 3, & 4 to do the same for
Tuesday and Wednesday.
Note that using the procedure outlined
in “Setting Permanent Temperature” will
reset all heat days to the same
temperature.
