Cleaning the Carousel Maintaining the VITEK

2 Instrument

Note: There are two types of incubator access covers for the VITEK

2 instrument.

Perform the first part of Step 5 if the machined incubator access cover is in

use. Perform the second part of Step 5 if the molded incubator access cover

is in use.

5) Remove the incubator access cover (1, Figure 7-10) from the carousel

by holding the retaining pin (2) on the top of the cover to the right while

pulling the cover slightly forward and to the right, out of the instrument.

Remove the incubator access cover (3, Figure 7-11) from the carousel

by lifting the top of the cover straight up from the instrument.
