Reviewing an Instrument Halted Screen
1) Press Help (?) to view the error/message queue.
Note: If there is more than one message, use the Down Arrow to review and
address each message.
2) Note the error code number, primary error code, and secondary error
code listed on the error/message queue.
3) If the secondary error code listed is Card Transport System Failure,
proceed to Resolving a Transport Halted Screen to resolve the error.
4) Look up the primary error code and then the secondary error code in
Table 8-2 in this chapter. If an error recovery procedure is given, follow
its directions, then continue with Step 5.
5) Press the Previous Screen key to exit the error/message queue and
return to the Halted screen.
6) Press Go to resume processing.
If the recovery procedure was successful, the Status screen appears
with a Status of OK.
If the Instrument Halted screen reappears, record the error code
number and call bioMérieux.
Resolving a Transport Halted Screen
Note: Only cards loaded into the jammed boat will be terminated. After the jam has
been cleared, cards loaded into other non-jammed boats will continue to
process and will be finalized when card processing is completed.
1) Press the Previous Screen key to exit the error/message queue and
return to the Halted screen.
2) Press Go to access the Transport Halted screen.
3) Open the front access door and the cassette load/unload door to check
for any jams or obstructions throughout the transport system. Things to
look for are:
pipette tips that have fallen onto the base pan
test cards that are not seated properly in the cassette
boats that are not seated properly in their track
