Beacon ESSID State: When set to DISABLED, the ESSID is not sent in beacons issued by
this wireless interface. Since the ESSID is no longer sent, clients cannot display it in their
list of available networks and automatically send it in a response to try to associate.
Therefore, only clients that have had the ESSID manually entered into their preferred
wireless network list can associate with the Wi-Fi AP/Bridge. The default state is to send
the ESSID in beacons (ENABLED) until this command is sent.
Channel: Select the channel to use for this wireless interface. You should use channels 1
and 11(the default) whenever possible.
Make Changes: Start using the new settings for this interface.
Configuring the Wireless Interfaces As a Group
You can configure the wireless interfaces as a group from the Network>Summary screen by
selecting “Edit Wireless Group Settings” at the bottom of the table of wireless interfaces (shown
in the following figure).
