Example TFTP Server Operation Using PumpKIN
Updating AP/Bridge Firmware
Figure 8— Starting the File Transfer From the Computer to the AP/Bridge
Select “OK” on PumpKIN...
During transfer
Transfer completed
PumpKIN may post errors during the transfer. This is not a problem as long as the full file gets
transferred and the message “Transfer of vino.br.1.1.a3.bin has successfully completed” is
shown.
vivato#copy tftp: firmware:
Hostname: 192.168.0.48

then enter the last CLI command needed to
start the transfer. During the transfer, many
lines of “!” characters are displayed. After file
transfer has completed, the AP/Bridge erases
the current firmware, writes the new firmware,
and verifies the file contents.
DO NOT DISCONNECT THE CROSSOVER
CABLE, OR IN ANY WAY INTERRUPT THE
PROCESS, UNTIL THE FIRMWARE UPDATE
PROCESS HAS SUCCESSFULLY
COMPLETED!
PumpKIN Operation CLI Operation
Press “OK” in PumpKIN, then
immediately send the CLI
command to start the transfer....
PumpKIN indicates the file transfer progress, then
indicates when the file has been successfully
transferred.
